A youth project funded by the Erasmus+ programme aimed to help young people gain added confidence in themselves by learning numerous skills in communication, leadership, teamwork, social entrepreneurship, marketing, IT and presentation skills so as to be able to either get back into education or the workforce.
Prisms Malta, Ajiter from the Azores, TDM 2000 from Sardinia, the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Crete and the ‘Institute of Tourism Studies’ [ITS] have all been collaborating together for these past months to make it happen. All partners have contributed their skills and knowledge to help these 40 young people across the four islands.
The activity can be inspirational to create an incubator for young entrepreneurs to build up their touristic company/project. Also, social enterprises can be built within this context to provide an answer to ethical tourism respectful of local environment and with added social impact.
